LIGHTHOUSE BEACH MAY LOSE ITS CLOTHING OPTIONAL STATUS IF WE DO NOT TAKE ACTION NOW!

SaveLighthouseBeach.Org, a growing coalition of concerned individuals and beach users’ groups, will be at the forefront of efforts to maintain the status quo and keep the beach open to clothing-optional use.

But for us to be effective, we need you to sign up and register as an SLB member, so we can demonstrate your support for keeping the beach open and reach you via email when the time is right to take coordinated action.

The more beach users (current and future) we represent when we meet with National Park Service officials and politicians the greater our chances will be to influence their decision!

OUR SUCCESS DEPENDS ON YOU!

The traditionally clothing optional use of Lighthouse Beach at the Fire Island National Seashore (FINS), a unit of the National Park Service (NPS), is currently facing the threat of either complete closure or a substantial reduction in area and relocation to a more remote location. According to FINS personnel, the National Park Service may decide to close the beach entirely to nude use or limit it to a small section well past the Fire Island Lighthouse, with limited accessibility (and making access virtually impossible for those of us who may be older or handicapped).
